Late-‘70s-inspired spectacles from the John & Yoko by JMM collection, handcrafted in Japan from plant-based acetate, with an oversized rounded-square lens shape, uniquely offset temple profile, and our signature precious metal details.
A tribute to the storied love and legacy of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, this special series of limited-edition spectacles handcrafted in Japan celebrate a remarkable relationship shaped by the spirit of collaboration and creativity. The OCEAN CHILD are inspired by the actual eyewear worn by Yoko Ono in the studio while working with John Lennon on their album, Double Fantasy (1980). A sumptuous expression that’s equal parts high fashion and performance-art piece, whose name references a poetic phrase in Lennon’s “Julia,” drawn from the literal translation of Ono’s first name
10mm cured cellulose acetate frame and temples in polished red havana, complemented by armorlite 4-base lenses in gradient denim with backside anti-reflective treatment
Limited production batch of 150 pieces - Handcrafted in Japan
